Notre Histoire

Une famille dédiée au fer

  • 1920

A house in a small village, a family joined together around a job. Their own dedication is the iron.

Days and nights lighted with the flames from the forge and hammer strokes. Mr. Antonio García Montoro, farming and cutting tools artisan, worked tirelessly to give his family a better life; afterwards, they will follow with the tradition and will expand the manufacture to produce wrought trivets, tongs and skimmers. It is the beginning of our history.

    The Beginning

Days and nights lighted with the flames from the forge and hammer strokes. Mr. Antonio García Montoro, farming and cutting tools artisan, worked tirelessly to give his family a better life; afterwards, they will follow with the tradition and will expand the manufacture to produce wrought trivets, tongs and skimmers. It is the beginning of our history.

  • 1950

    History continues

“Anvils, hammers, mallets … all for manual labour”. That is the way Mr. Enrique describes the activity on the first industrial registration. This productive structure begins to improve step by step. The workshop also moves to another address. The second generation is now consolidated.

  • 1960

    Internationalization

In 1960 Mr. Enrique passed away, and although their daughters, with other jobs, help the family economy too, it was his youngest son, Antonio García Campos who started to work at the age of 14, who takes charge of the business. Just 20 years old, he deals with suppliers, staff and customers. Enthusiastic, passionate and with a great personality, he leads the business definitive take off. Developing new production technology, building a sales network, starting to export to South America, printing the firsts catalogues…

  • 1975

    Expansion

A new factory is built downtown (nowadays El Bobalar industrial zone), because the new machinery doesn’t fit inside the old workshop. Hard working days managed to grow a new family and also a unique human team, committed and ready to give their best for this raising project.

  • 1979

    Name

In 1979 GARCIMA, S.L. as a company is born. Mr. Antonio García Campos is still in charge. He’s the third generation since that artisan blacksmith, but now the business is professionally managed, the aim is to be the first manufacturer of paella pans and gas burners in Spain.

  • 1990

    Consolidation

Around 1990 the fourth generation is involved. Mrs. Nieves and Mr. Antonio García Martínez put the emphasis on consolidating export sales. Meanwhile in 1992 the company takes part on the Guinness Record of Paella by constructing a 20 meters diameter paella pan for 100.000 portions, which was cooked at March 8th in Valencia.

  • 2001

    Adaptation

The new century came not only with the requirement of adapting to a global market, but also to face a worldwide financial crack. GARCIMA stands on its strengths: a devoted and reliable family management, reinvesting the benefits to improve and expand the production capacity and growing its international presence by attending since 2010 to Ambiente trade show (Frankfurt).
